GOLD EXTRACTION
Consulting Sterling's mining operations in South America focus on concessions for open pit mining gold mining. Production of these mines is sold under long-term concession contracts. Our mines send gold concentrate to other of our companies worldwide, where gold goes through a process in our refining unit, for later sale by weight worldwide.
This is a well-known cyaniding process. To start, cyanide is added to the mineral to leach the minerals. The solid and liquid are then separated.
Zinc powder or zinc wire is added to the liquid and gold and settled like gold mud through the chemical reaction. The gold mud will be recast in the form of a high purity gold ingot. Currently, this process is used as the method of gold mining and is used considerably to process the flotation of concentrated gold ore.
